Protest Art Lab
For participants aged 16+
Classes require a minimum of 2 participants to go ahead. If a class you have booked does not meet the minimum, you will be offered an alternative date.
Turn your convictions into powerful visual statements. This is a space to create bold, message-driven art — whether through stencils, posters, digital tools, or methods we discover together. Here, art isn't just about aesthetics; it's about amplifying your voice and sparking conversation.
Every session is shaped by the pulse of the group, my latest experiments, and the urgent or subtle themes you bring to the table. No two workshops are alike. Even if you've joined before, you'll leave with new techniques, sharper ideas, or a fresh perspective on how art can challenge, question, or inspire. That's the promise: a dynamic, evolving creative experience where your message takes centre stage.
Purpose:Empower you to channel your ideas into compelling visual narratives. We'll focus on social or political themes, but the real goal is to help you find the confidence and skills to express what matters to you — unapologetically.
Format:Interactive and collaborative. Expect live demonstrations, but also plenty of room for your own experiments and discussions.
Structure:We'll start with a dive into the history and techniques of protest art — how it's been used, and how it's evolving. Then, you'll create your own individual or group pieces, with time to refine and share.
Materials:Stencils, poster paper, inks, paints, brushes, and digital tools (if applicable) are provided. Bring any personal materials or reference images that inspire your message.
